5 Reasons Why You Should Do Home Workouts: Part 2

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you already know that home workouts are typically much more convenient and affordable than workout classes or gym memberships. There Are Fewer Distractions

Anyone who goes to the gym will tell you that it’s full of distractions. For whatever reason, people tend to stare at one another at the gym, which can make you feel self-conscious and cause your workout to be less effective. The last thing you need is another reason to keep you from working out, and it’s hard to find the motivation to go to the gym when you feel like you have to get ready so you look good when people stare.

Aside from the distraction of others’ wandering gazes, you’ll likely find yourself fighting the crowds during busy gym hours and waiting around for machines to become available. This makes it tempting to scroll your phone while waiting or continue overworking your current muscle group until you can move on. The distraction of a crowded gym and unavailable machines can ruin your workout in a way that will never happen during home workouts.

 

 

You Can Work Out At Your Own Pace

Another reason to do home workouts is that they are just as effective, if not even more so, because you can work at your own pace and don’t feel pressure from others to overwork yourself. With me as your video guide, you will have a judgment-free support system that only encourages you to do what’s best for your body. With no pressure from others or competition for workout machines, home workouts create a much more fun and comfortable environment for you to use to your advantage. Had a long day sitting at your work desk? Head out to the backyard to get some fresh air and do some burpees, pushups, and even try doing pull-ups on a sturdy tree branch. Stressed about an upcoming work event or meeting? Do some jumping jacks or skip rope in your living room. With your home and yard as your gym, there is no limit to what you can do, and you will have much more fun doing it than you would if you went to a workout class or the gym.
